My mission is to provide you with a non-judgmental, emphatic, and supportive environment that will help facilitate a growth-promoting relationship.

"Happiness is not the absence of problems, its the ability to deal with them."

- Steve Maraboli

ABOUT

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in CT., as well as a Master Social Worker in the State of New York.  I am also a Certified EMDR clinician and an Approved EMDR Consultant. I have maintained a private practice in Wilton, CT.  for the last 25 years.

My work focuses on adults, couples, and older adolescents.

I specialize in the area of psychological trauma and provide services to survivors of emotional, physical and sexual abuse, as well as to First Responders who have been subjected to ongoing and repeated trauma.  I am Co-coordinator of the Fairfield County Trauma Recovery Network that provides training education and psychotherapy to First Responders (primarily firefighters and EMT's) throughout Fairfield County.

Prior to full-time private practice, I have worked in the New York City school system and served as both Senior Services and Youth Services Director for the Department of Social Services in Wilton. I was on staff at Four Winds Hospital in Katonah, NY for seven years, first at the Adult Partial Hospital Program, ultimately on an adolescent inpatient unit where I was responsible for individual, group and family therapy, as well as the consultant for the Adolescent Service on the treatment of issues related to sexual abuse.

It is my belief that EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) is the most effective treatment for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, as well as other types of anxiety and mood disorders. I have emphasized EMDR in my practice for the past 15 years and provide supervision to other EMDR clinicians.

I am a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and received my MSW at New York University.

Most importantly, I am the mother of 3 daughters!

AGES I WORK WITH:

Adults, couples, and older adolescents.

INSURANCE:

I do not accept insurance but can offer sliding scale fees.

ABOUT

"Probably the biggest insight...is that happiness is not just a place, it's a process...an ongoing process of fresh challenges, and...it takes the right attitudes and activities to continue to be happy."
